Accountability Project

About the Change Needed

The Kansas Brady-Giglio Accountability Project exists to fix a broken system that allows officers to be blacklisted without due process. Right now in Kansas, a single letter from a chief—without evidence or a hearing—can end a law enforcement career through informal Brady/Giglio lists.

We support accountability and transparency, but not at the expense of fairness. Officers deserve the same due process protections as anyone else. Our goal is to establish clear legal standards for placement on these lists, ensure notice and the right to challenge, and create a path for review and removal.

This isn’t just policy—it’s personal. We’ve seen lives and careers destroyed by unchecked power and political retaliation. It’s time for Kansas to bring integrity back to the system.
